    The 2014 Bicycle Art & Film Festival features a programme of five short films at CarréRotondes and three feature-length films at Cinémathèque. Captivating and inspiring, the films will take you to a unique bike kitchen and on a remarkable cycling adventure in the Peruvian Andes. You will get a glimpse into a fixed gear community in Bristol, meet talented free riders seeking challenging routes around the globe and follow the story of the Schleck brothers and the motivations and belief systems integral to Leopard Trek.

    The film follows the world’s top freeride mountain bikers as they search for un-ridden terrain around the globe, ultimately shaping the future of big mountain freeriding. This unparalleled story documents man’s challenge of mother nature and himself showcased through a cast of colorful characters. This is the most progressive and ambitious mountain biking film ever attempted resulting in an entertainment adventure unlike anything experienced before.

    Bikekitchen – A Filmic Approach

    The “Bikekitchen Vienna” is a solidarily organised D.I.Y. bicycle factory. It is open to everyone to repair or to construct new and freaky bikes, to discuss, to eat, to drink, or simply: to have a good time. Through the people, their stories and motivations, loads of different themes are encountered at this colorful place.

    A documentary film about riding fixed gear bikes in beautiful Bristol. The film shows the diverse cross section of riders and asks why ride bikes with no gears in a city full of hills. Shot in Bristol and made on a shoestring budget, the film shows what’s possible when likeminded people with a passion for two wheels come together.
